Apple says some iPhone X units have faulty touch screens

Apple disclosed two issues affecting a few its most common products: the iPhone X as well as 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The Cupertino, California-based technology giant said Friday the screen on some iPhone X units doesn’t respond or responds intermittently when touched. The business also said some units could have displays that react even though they aren’t touched. The iPhone X went on sale last November and was discontinued if your iPhone XS and iPhone XR models were introduced in September. Users have reported the touchscreen display issues online for many months.

Apple also said a “limited number” of 13-inch MacBook Pros have “an issue that may result in loss of data and failure of the drive.” The laptops were sold from June 2017 to June 2018 with 128 gigabytes or 256 GB of storage without any Touch Bar, Apple said within a note to customers. The corporation recommends affected users their very own laptops “serviced as soon as possible.”

In the truth with the iPhone X, Apple is offering free screen replacements for any faulty devices, though it may be offering free repairs to your MacBook Pros.

Apple hadn’t previously answered reports of troubles with iPhone X screens, but it had opened similar replacement programs prior to now for older iPhone models with screen issues, for example the iPhone 6.
